3M, in conjunction with EPL Composite Solutions LTD (EPL) have developed a new 'passively safe' post for road signs that signals a new era for the signing industry, and a major step forward in improving road safety.

Designed to meet the European standard for Passive Safety (EN12767), the 3M Frangible Post System is proven in tests at the Transport Research Lab (TRL) to maximise protection to vehicle occupants, and minimises damage to vehicles when struck at speed.

In fact, 3M Frangible Post System can claim the highest published safety ranking award to any make of sign-post to date (NE:3).
